Nobody is stopped from their dreams, all thanks to Berry Gordy.
As a record producer and songwriter, he helped build Motown, launching the music careers of many legendary artists. His unique sounds and songs helped shape our nation's story.
Berry Gordy was the first African American record label owner. He has helped African American artists by giving them a record label.
Berry Gordy’s business, Motown Record Corporation, became the most successful black-owned business and influential independent records. This has broken the racial barriers in the world because it shows that they are just like everyone else and from everything that they have done they have shown the rest of the world that it’s true
